Dimitris
margetas
I live.
I create.
I invite.
DIMITRIS WORLD
I create things because I can’t help it. Some people go to therapy, I start new projects. Maybe I should go to therapy too. Everything you see here began with a real moment, good or bad: a drink with friends, a family challenge, a professional shift, or something I saw that made me smile or tear up on the streets of Switzerland or Greece. My way of saying thank you to life is to turn its beauty into something playful, something that gives a little of that joy back. Nothing here is perfect, but it’s honest. And honestly, I think that’s where the magic is.
I strongly believe that
The more you give, the more you get!
Money, support, good times, positive vibes, kindness, time, ideas, you name it. The return on investment is always 1000%.
Our worst fears in life will happen.
And some point. And it is OK. Thee is a lesson that we need to take. THAT WE CAN DO IT, LIVE, GO ON, NO MATTER WHAT.
Kindness is sexy. Silicon lips are not.
I fall in love with people who are polite and warm hearted. Nowadays. And they are not afraid to show it.
It all makes (?) sense
1. Chemistry
As a kid I had a genuine curiosity of how things are made. Someone said "Well, this is Chemistry". I said fine, let me study it. I liked it. I did well (nerd grades). I led the oath for the whole Sciences Department.
2. Civil Engineering
Bill Clinton said in Rio that the world has to invest in protecting the environment. I thought "this smells like money". I went to the US for a PhD in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering. I never got the PhD, but just 1.5 Master's degree (I got a job too fast), but maxed out the nerd level, graduating with a perfect GPA 4.0/4.0.
3. Medicine, CS and more
When I quit the Corporation, I stayed unemployed for 2 years. I took 60 online certificates from Harvard, Yale, Stanford and the likes in Medicine, Computer Science (yes, I make my own websites, videos, graphics, etc), and Writing. I also wrote my first Greek book and became the first ever influencer in Switzerland, rapping about the smallest and richest canton.
4. Hospitality
And then there was Covid. Perfect time to study for a Hospitality Business license in Switzerland. And learn German. My German sucks (French is almost mother tongue though), but I have the right to open any sort of Hospitality establishment, bar, restaurant, hotel of any size, anywhere in Switzerland.

My Success Stories
My success is the amazing people I have in my life. There are several, I list here a few. Each one of them have been there for me and have taught me life.
“Don't believe the mirror. Believe your lower back.”
“I am not asking you if you are well. Your face and your eyes tell me everyhting.”
“You are rich because you have meaningful friendships.”
"Empty your mind. Think nothing. Or just look at the sea. Think how beautiful the sea is."
"If a friend disappointed you or behaved badly to you, you provoked it. One way or another you helped it happen."
“What you see in people is what you are.”
“Having experienced your worst fears in life is liberating.”
“The less you beg people to to spend time with you, the more they gather around you.”
“It's not the place, it's not the people, it's not the music, it is you and your own energy that makes every moment memorable.”
Now this guy is the totally the opposite from me in so many ways and, for decades now, he is my inspiration of how you can be content and in peace with what life brings you every day.
Life is a party
And thank God, I was invited to it! By myself or through a formal invitation, it does not matter. What matters is that I am making the most of it. And I am granted the right to invite others. Everybody! Actually no, just the kind souls.
